Today is the first day of September where we celebrate Blood Cancer Awareness and Childhood Cancer Awareness. Have you ever heard #GoGoldInSeptember? AYA stands for adolescent and young adult cancer patients (ages 15 to 39). These cancer patients are a distinct population within the oncology community due to the unique challenges they face through their disease projection. Oftentimes they are hitting big milestones like driving, graduating high school, going to college, getting married and starting families. Alex fell into this unique group with his diagnosis of B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. ALL is typically diagnosed in children.

How are we celebrating this month? First, we have partnered with Network for Good to make donating to Alex's Sunnyside Playroom a more seamless process. Check out our new donation page:

Secondly, we are excited to announce the incredible design firm iCrave took our small non-profit on as a client. It's been such an honor and privilege to work with a dedicated team of individuals that really "get it"! They are the award-winning design firm that worked on healthcare and wellness experiences for Memorial Sloan Kettering and St. Jude.
